BIOGRAPHY

Cristina Calderón Puig (b. Barcelona, 1972).
Lives and works in Barcelona.

Visual Artist working in photography, video, sculpture and installation.

Throughout her career she has developed themes related to the domestic space, the family environment and the interpersonal relationships that are generated in it; everyday scenes and the dwelling as a container for experiences, a territory of subjective staging, turning the house into a stage, set, continent and content.

In her most recent work, the artistic production becomes a laboratory of experimentation on new models of multimedia communication. Calderón explores technologies that enable to spread the work of art beyond the museum space or
traditional art galleries.
